This is where I find myself with asking so many questions... Do I know the answer?
Students' minds are never where we want them to be...

I am afraid I will do this...

This is what we will all do one day... We've heard it a thousand times...

Students might actually do their work if...

Our daily reminder...

I thoroughly enjoyed reading you jokes and found myself, multiple time I might add, trying to 'like' some of the joke!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying your snow days and aren't fretting too much on the KPTP. Whenever I get flustered I think back to Anger Management...goosfrabah!
The jokes are very funny and definitely with an air of truth. I love the Math one, that was great. I think that we have all been so stressed lately that a little humor can never hurt. Of course right now we are all getting a small break with the snow days. I know that it is giving me time to get caught up, even if I will have to rearrange some of my assignments. It really has not messed with my KPTP yet though, knock on wood. It is just another example of teaching in the real world; have everything planned, planned, planned - and then be flexible enough to make adjustments as life doles them out. I hope that all this beautiful snow has not messed with your plans too much.
ReplyDeleteI think its so funny that as i begin to be more and more like a teacher, I start to realize that my old teachers had problems too and they never seemed to be fazed by them. I cant imagine that kids will some day look up to me, and that last joke made me think about this a little more. Students don't realize that we have other things going on, but if they did would they really care too much? If we let them know that we have lives too, would they really take us more seriously? hmm... Good jokes by the way :)
